Good Girls Don’t Go to Hell

Emma traveled to London in the summer of 2025 to direct A.A. Brenner’s new play, Good Girls Don’t Go to Hell. The show was performed at The Divine Drag Bar in Dalston in partnership with Brooklyn Rep.

Set in a liminal drag dreamspace, five women named Cecily spiral through the archetypes of womanhood: the good girl, the damsel, the girlboss, the repressed one, and the femme fatale. Good Girls Don’t Go to Hell by A.A. Brenner is a campy and glitter-filled romp through what it means to break out of the confines put on us by society, and the ones we put on ourselves.
